Cheerios just came out with a new flavor, Banana Nut.  My Muzbee Crazy clan loves all the Cheerios varieties and so we were very willing to try it out.  Of course, I asked my children if they liked it as they were stuffing their faces so I simply got the thumbs up sign.  It has quickly become our new breakfast choice.

I tried it and I have to say, General Mills nailed the banana nut flavor.  Great taste of real banana and a great source of calcium and Vitamin D.  Plus it’s made with whole grain which is even better for you.

In this never ending attempt to go green and save money, I have started trying to re-think buying our water in plastic bottles.  Sure, it is certainly convenient to just grab a bottle and go and I’m recycling the bottle when I’m done.  Isn’t that “green” enough?  I thought so.  Until I stumbled across a website called New American Dream.  Go check it out.  It has this awesome calculator that shows you how much money you could save a year by not buying water in plastic bottles.  Drinking filtered tap water in a reusable bottle is much more friendly on the wallet.  While it may be annoying to have to wash the bottle out, I think it is worth the effort to “break the water bottle habit.”

I went a little crazy and made my first vlog on this great and easy money saving tip.  It’s not the greatest video you will ever watch and it took me about a bazillion takes to get a decent clip, but if you would like to watch it, here it is for your viewing pleasure.

If you are anything like me, your morning consists of packing lunches for school.  And if you are anything like me, you try to put at least something in there that is healthy.  A staple in my children’s lunch is yogurt.  Whether we are picking Yoplait Kids with Dora and Diego or Yoplait Trix yogurt,  I have peace of mind that my kids are eating something nutritious.

When I was asked to do this review of the yogurt, I really didn’t have to go out and buy it because it is always in our refrigerator.  The kids love it!  But the great part about it, other than the taste, is that both the yogurt cups and the yogurt drinks contain Omega-3 DHA.  This is an important nutrient that supports children’s brain growth during their early developmental stages.
