Brita Water Filter Giveaway
In this never ending attempt to go green and save money, I have started trying to re-think buying our water in plastic bottles. Sure, it is certainly convenient to just grab a bottle and go and I’m recycling the bottle when I’m done. Isn’t that “green” enough? I thought so. Until I stumbled across a website called New American Dream. Go check it out. It has this awesome calculator that shows you how much money you could save a year by not buying water in plastic bottles. Drinking filtered tap water in a reusable bottle is much more friendly on the wallet. While it may be annoying to have to wash the bottle out, I think it is worth the effort to “break the water bottle habit.”
I went a little crazy and made my first vlog on this great and easy money saving tip. It’s not the greatest video you will ever watch and it took me about a bazillion takes to get a decent clip, but if you would like to watch it, here it is for your viewing pleasure.

I’ve been wanting a filter on my faucet for a while now. I use a Klean Kanteen with filtered water when I’m on the go.

I love Brita, we had one in our old house, but I never got one after we moved. Great tip about the re-usable bottles. I’d love to see plastic bottles become a thing of the past for the most part.

Brita is the best! We have well water that is pretty clean but this area is known for arsenic in the water!

I think everyone should have one of these. They say the average bottled water drinker drinks 3 bottles per day. Can you imagine a family of four drinking 12 a day. That’s like 350 a month. Imagine the waste! Thanks for the great contest!

I love these! When pregnant I only drank filtered water, a while ago I took a sip of tap water and it tasted like lake water…what a difference!
